Algeria is a sovereign state in the North Africa and it is a semi- presidential republic, and also known officially, as ‘People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria’. Learn about The Constitution of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria (Algerian Constitution)
The Constitution for the country Algeria was adopted by a referendum in the year 1963, after the War of Independence in Algeria. The constitutional Assembly headed by Ferhat Abbas had drafted the Constitution originally, but this body was sidelined by Ahmed Ben Bella, the first President of Algeria.
